Springbok hooker Schalk Brits will likely miss the rest of the season, including the November Tests, after suffering a knee injury playing for Saracens.
Bok management have confirmed that he will see a specialist today, while the Evening Standard's Chris Jones is reporting that he will require surgery on the injured knee, ruling him out for the rest of the European season.
He left the field on a stretcher after suffering the injury in the 75th minute of Saracen's 30-23 win over Clermont in the European Champions Cup over the weekend.
Brits made a return to the Springbok set-up earlier this year for the first time since 2012, but found himself down the pecking order, with Adriaan Strauss and Bismarck du Plessis favoured for the Springbok No 2 jersey.
