Former England scrumhalf Matt Dawson has selected his preferred British & Irish Lions backline, but found no room for England captain Owen Farrell or Scotland wing Duhan van der Merwe.
Bok watch: A closer look at RWC forwards
Dawson, who played 77 times for England and went on three Lions tours, has a history of controversial playing selections. He famously suggested that not a single South African would make a combined England-Springbok team before the World Cup final.
The ex-scrumhalf, who worked as a security guard before rugby turned professional, has shown no love for the Irish, either, with not a single Irishman making his backline.
Dawson’s Lions backline picks:
9 Rhys Webb (Wales)
10 Finn Russell (Scotland)
11 Louis Rees-Zammit (Wales)
12 Manu Tuilagi (England)
13 Jonathan Davies (Wales)
14 Johnny May (England)
15 Anthony Watson (England)
