Scrumhalf Greig Laidlaw has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2017 Six Nations tournament after rapturing ankle ligaments against France on Sunday.
The Scotland captain was forced to leave the field midway through the first half, with scans later revealing he sustained ankle ligament damage.
'The extent of the damage is such that he will take no further part in the current championship,' Scottish Rugby confirmed. 'Laidlaw will see a specialist later in the week to determine the best course of management and estimated time out of the sport.'
