Former captain Louis Schreuder and the Sharks have come to an agreement that he will be released from his contract.
The 30-year-old been at the Sharks since 2017 and has been a reliable performer during his time in Durban, while also taking on a leadership role, the highlight of which saw him skipper the side in the successful 2018 Currie Cup final.
However, in information verified by SARugbymag.co.za, Schreuder will now part ways with the Sharks.
His departure will open the door for talented youngsters such as Sanele Nohamba and Jaden Hendrikse, although it remains to be seen whether the Sharks will look to recruit a No 9 with some more experience.
