Edinburgh prop Pierre Schoeman has been handed a four-week suspension after being red-carded in their 31-7 loss to Leinster.
The former Bull was sent off in the 71st minute after making contact with the head of Leinster flank Dan Leavy while carrying the ball.
The 24-year-old was handed a six-week ban that was reduced by two weeks due to mitigating factors.
Schoeman will now miss the Pro14 matches against Treviso and the Cheetahs and will also be out of contention for Edinburgh’s first two opening games in the European Champions Cup.
It is Schoeman’s second ban for foul play after he was suspended for six weeks for biting Rebels flank Richard Hardwick while playing for the Bulls this year.
