Flyhalf Jaco van der Walt, prop Pierre Schoeman and hooker Michael Willemse turned out for Edinburgh, with Van der Walt accounting for six of the team’s points tally via two penalties.
*Quarter-final three between Toulon and Scarlets didn’t feature any South African players and quarter-final four between the Leicester Tigers and Castres was cancelled following confirmation by Castres that three members of their playing group, as well as one staff member, had tested positive for Covid-19 in advance of the club’s planned departure to England.
