– Racing 92 thrashed Montpellier 41-17 in a contest – that produced two yellow cards and a red card – to maintain their winning start to the season and climb to the top of the table. No 8 Antonie Claassen started and scored for Racing and he was joined in the run-on lineup by compatriot Bernard le Roux. Montpellier had locks Paul Willemse and Nico Janse van Rensburg, flyhalf Handre Pollard and centre Jan Serfontein in their starting XV with scrumhalf Cobus Reinach playing off the bench. Janse van Rensburg and Reinach bagged a try each, while Pollard was stretchered off the field after suffering a serious knee injury.

– Pau beat Agen 33-23 in an ill-disciplined game to maintain their unbeaten start in the competition. Prop Lourens Adriaanse scrummed down for Pau, who moved up to second on the log. Lock Jeremy Jordaan played for Agen, who dropped three places from ninth to 12th position.
– Lock Jandre Marais and prop Joseph Dweba were in the 14-man Bordeaux side that pipped Brive 25-20 in an exciting clash. Flank Retief Marais represented Brive, who are now fifth in the standings.
– Castres, featuring scrumhalf Rory Kockott and prop Dan Kotze, slumped to an agonising 22-16 defeat by Stade Français, who had James Hall playing scrumhalf. Stade are in seventh place on the log with a game in hand.
