SA Schools swap three

Stravino Jacobs celebrates a try with a teammate Stravino Jacobs/SA Schools

Coach Sean Erasmus has made three changes to the SA Schools side ahead of their final game of the U18 International Series against England in Cape Town on Saturday.

Despite their defeat against France on Tuesday, Erasmus has kept the personnel changes down to a minimum.

Stravino Jacobs replaces Wyclef Vlitoor on the left wing while Celimpilo Gumede takes over from Sibusiso Sangweni at blindside flank and JJ Kotze gets the nod at hooker ahead of Jacques Goosen.

‘We spoke about the importance of beating England, so we are determined to do so, [in order] to finish the tournament on a winning note,’ said Erasmus. ‘We made mistakes in the first half against France, and we are determined to correct that.

‘England always pitch up against SA sides, and we do not expect anything less this weekend. They are a proud nation and they will certainly do everything they can to go home with a win.’

SA Schools – 15 Darren Hendricks, 14 Sibabalwe Xamlashe, 13 Muzi Manyike, 12 Brendan Venter, 11 Stravino Jacobs, 10 Juan Mostert, 9 Thomas Bursey, 8 Evan Roos, 7 Celimpilo Gumede, 6 Tristan Dullisear, 5 Adrian Alberts (c), 4 Lunga Ncube, 3 Hanro Jacobs, 2  JJ Kotze, 1 Thabiso Mdletshe.
Subs: (Forwards) Jacques Goosen, Dewald Donald, Herman Agenbag, Sibusiso Sangweni, Uzile Tele, Emile van Heerden, Keketso Morabe, Jarrod Taylor, De Wet Marais. (Backs): Jurich Claasens, Mnombo Zwelindaba, Rynhardt Jonker, Lwandile Menze, Wyclef Vlitoor.
