SA Rugby will meet with the Human Rights Commission after an alleged racial incident took place before the Rugby Championship match between the Springboks and All Blacks at Loftus Versfeld last year.
According to a report on TimesLive, a group of black Springbok fans, who were dressed in the commemorative red Springbok jersey, were ridiculed as members of the Economic Freedom Fighters political party.
The group was also allegedly referred to as baboons and had a banana thrown in their direction.
The report further states that a letter was sent to SA Rugby by advocate Lunga Soyi concerning the protocols dealing with racial abuse in October last year, but SA Rugby only responded on 17 January.
SA Rugby CEO Jurie Roux said in the response that they would be happy to meet the commission this week.
