Lions CEO Rudolf Straeuli says he has definitely not applied for the Bulls position.
SARugbymag.co.za understands that Straeuli’s name is on the shortlist to replace Barend van Graan as CEO of the Blue Bulls Company. However, the former Bok No 8 insisted he had not thrown his name into the hat.
‘I definitely haven’t applied. I have a job,’ he told SARugbymag.co.za.
Other names on the shortlist are Bulls high-performance manager Xander Janse van Rensburg, Blue Bulls Rugby Union CEO Eugene Hare, Pumas CEO Pieter Burger and Griquas CEO Arnie van Rooyen.
SARugbymag.co.za also understands that Jimmy Stonehouse is the front-runner to become the new Bulls coach. WP coach John Dobson and former Bok lock Victor Matfield are also on the shortlist.
