Roodepoort Rugby Club has found no evidence to back up claims of an alleged racial incident after concluding an internal investigation.
Earlier this month, Wanderers Rugby Club claimed that racial and verbal abuse had been directed towards their players by Roodepoort spectators and players during an U21 match on 25 April.
Wanderers claimed Roodepoort players called black players in their team k****r.

The Golden Lions Rugby Union is conducting its own investigation, after which a statement will be released.
‘The club has conducted a preliminary investigation internally and has not been able to verify the claims made by Wanderers‚’ Roodepoort said in a statement.
‘Wanderers have also not been able to supply us with any evidence to prove their statements.
‘As it stands, it is all conjecture and hearsay until all claims that have been made are proven or disproved by the current investigation of the Golden Lions Rugby Union Disciplinary Committee.
‘We have been informed by the GLRU that the committee has started its work and will be calling witnesses in the next few weeks. As previously stated we are taking our lead from the GLRU and would appreciate it if a more balanced statement or article could be published indicating that it is all hearsay and that as yet no evidence of wrongdoing by Roodepoort players has been proven.
‘The management team at Roodepoort Rugby Club await the outcome of the GLRU Disciplinary Committee and will abide by the committee’s ruling.’
