Robbie Fleck is likely to remain head coach of the Stormers until the end of the 2019 season, regardless of results.
The Western Province board held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss Fleck’s position. The Stormers coach was recently told that his job would be on the line if the team lost to the Bulls at Newlands and to the Jaguares in Buenos Aires.
The Stormers beat the Bulls, but lost to the Jaguares. According to Netwerk24, Fleck will continue in his position for now, and John Dobson will assume the head coach responsibilities at the end of the current season.
The Stormers still have a chance to top the South African conference and qualify for the playoffs.
