Shaun Reynolds will start at flyhalf for the Lions against the Crusaders in Christchurch on Friday.
The Lions team show four changes to the starting lineup that upset the Chiefs 23-17 last week.
Reynolds replaces the injured Gianni Lombard, while Elton Jantjies continues at inside centre.
Nic Groom and Ross Cronjé rotate at scrumhalf, with the former starting and the latter dropping to the bench. Ruan Combrinck replaces Andries Coetzee at fullback in the only other change to the backline.
Up front, Robbie Coetzee gets the nod at hooker in the absence of Malcolm Marx, who is being rested as part of Springbok player protocol.
Tyrone Green, who flew over last week in place of Courtnall Skosan, has been included on the bench.
