The Chiefs will still be without captain Brodie Retallick for the next three Vodacom Super Rugby fixtures, including their match against the Sharks next weekend.
The lock has missed the Chiefs’ last two fixtures against the Hurricanes and Lions, both of which they went on to lose, after injuring his wrist against the Blues.
Retallick suffered a torn ligament in his wrist, which will prolong his time on the sidelines for the next three weeks.
It comes as a blow for the Chiefs, who are already without Damian McKenzie for the rest of the season after he ruptured his ACL.
