Rassie Erasmus has tactfully responded to an article questioning the Boks’ status as the No 1 team in the world by tweeting: ‘A lion doesn’t concern himself with the opinion of a sheep’.
The Boks have not played an international match since winning the World Cup, but an opinion piece published on Rugby Pass suggested they had ‘ducked’ and ‘hidden’ from competition by withdrawing from the 2020 Rugby Championship.

Erasmus has spoken about the value of social media, but only uses it occasionally. He took to Twitter to respond to the article with a few lines that spoke volumes:
