The Sharks have confirmed that young flyhalf Inny-Christian Radebe was granted an early release in December.
It’s believed that Radebe was in line to make a move to the Lions, but according to Rugby365.com, he has failed a medical exam with the Johannesburg-based franchise.
Radebe has been struggling to recover from a serious knee injury, and his future now remains unclear.
The 23-year-old was born in Johannesburg and represented the Golden Lions at Craven Week level, before joining the Sharks Academy after high school.
With Radebe having left the Sharks, Rob du Preez and Curwin Bosch are set to be the two frontline flyhalf options in Super Rugby.
