Former Wallabies captain James Horwill will join English Premiership club Harlequins following the Rugby World Cup in 2015.
The 29-year-old has agreed to a three-year deal, bringing an end to his association with Queensland, a club he debuted for in 2006. He went on to lead the Reds to the Super Rugby crown in 2011, before claiming the Tri-Nations title with the Wallabies later that year.
The news comes less than 24 hours after Horwill's Australian teammate, Adam Ashley-Cooper, announced his departure to French club Bordeaux Bégles.
Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea has hailed his signature, noting Horwill's vast experience as a driving factor behind his recruitment.
'I'm delighted that we've attracted someone of James' standing in the game to play for us following the completion of the Rugby World Club next year,' said O'Shea.
'James is known around the world not only for his uncompromising style of play but also for his strength of character. He will be an asset for us on the field and within the changing room.'
Horwill is set to remain as captain of the Reds during his final season as they look to put a disappointing 2014 campaign behind them, where they finished 13th on the overall log.
'We've got some fantastic ability across the park and that's the big thing for me to make sure we finish my time here on the right note and we live up to our potential as a team,' said Horwill.
'It's good now I can focus purely on the Reds campaign and rugby next year. I don't need to worry about what my future holds and what I want to do.
'I'm completely committed to helping the Reds and Australia achieve success in this World Cup year and then I'll turn my attention to the next chapter of my life in rugby with Harlequins.'
