Maritzburg College will play Wynberg Boys' High in the main match of the Saints' festival on the final day.

Maritzburg, who recently fell out of the Top 20 rankings, will look to make amends against a Wynberg outfit that claimed a convincing 59-21 victory over Cape rivals Rondebosch last weekend.

The opening day's most exciting match will see Bedfordview's St Benedict's go up against St Andrew's from Grahamstown at 1:25pm.

The clash between hosts St Stithians and Hilton College will headline the second day (4:15pm).

This will be St Stithians' 31st Easter festival, the oldest of its kind in South Africa, with five new sports codes – hockey, tennis, netball, squash and basketball – added to the event this year. Over 20,000 supporters were accounted for in years gone by and with the added sports, the number is likely to increase.

'It is my pleasure and privilege to welcome all our visitors to our 2014 Easter Sports Festival in which we have about 1,500 players competing. It is exciting to see how much sporting variety has been included in our festival, and I look forward to watching some wonderful tennis, hockey, retball, and rugby matches', said headmaster Dave Knowles.
