Sarel Pretorius claimed three awards, including Super Rugby Player of the Year, at the Free State Cheetahs' end-of-year awards ceremony.
Pretorius also won the Currie Cup Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards in recognition for another solid season.
Strangely enough, the experienced scrumhalf failed to claim the night's top prize, Player of the Year, with the award going to Springbok fullback Willie le Roux.
Le Roux was shortlisted for the World Rugby Player of the Year award earlier this year, but lost out to All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick.
