Sarel Pretorius is in line to make his debut for the Kings after being named on the bench for their clash against Edinburgh at Murrayfield on Saturday.
The 34-year-old has been out with a foot injury since joining from the Dragons.
Also returning via the bench is captain Michael Willemse, who suffered a shoulder injury in October last year, with JC Astle retaining the armband in the starting lineup.
There is a new front row as former Junior Springbok Alulutho Tshakweni makes his first start alongside tighthead Pieter Scholtz and hooker Alandre van Rooyen, who returns to the team after missing the Kings’ last match of 2018 with a concussion.
In the backline, Masixole Banda returns to fullback after playing at flyhalf against Benetton in the side’s previous match, with Martin du Toit returning to flyhalf.
The centre pairing will see Harlon Klaasen once again partnering with Tertius Kruger. Winger Michael Makase also finds himself back in the starting XV for the Edinburgh clash.
