Premiership Rugby CEO Mark McCafferty says the clubs will meet to discuss England coach Eddie Jones’ training methods.
Bath owner Bruce Craig slammed Jones after Ben Te’o became the 15th player – and fifth from Bath – to get injured while at an England camp since the 2015 World Cup.
Jones responded on Thursday, saying: ‘We prepare players for Test matches. I don’t think anyone at a club has the right to tell a coach how to train a Test team.’

However, McCafferty told the BBC that relations between the clubs and the national team have ‘hit a roadblock’ and that England’s training will be discussed at the next Premiership meeting.
‘The only way the English system works is through collaboration. We’ve got to see how significant that roadblock is and find a way around it.
‘Are we concerned about injuries happening in training? Absolutely. Are we concerned about injuries happening in England training? Yes, and it’s the same for club training.
‘If his [Jones] judgement that 15 serious injuries in England training and a career-ending injury for Sam Jones is acceptable and doesn’t warrant explanation, apology or some deeper analysis then that is the problem.
‘The matter will be taken to the next Professional Game Board and the clubs will have input on what is acceptable in the context of our players’ complete workload throughout the year on club and international duty.’
