Flyhalf Handré Pollard looks set to make his return to action at the World Club 10s in Mauritius in mid-June.
The 23-year-old sustained an ankle injury in April and returned to training with the Blue Bulls' Provincial Rugby Challenge side on Monday.
The Blue Bulls play the Valke in Kempton Park on Friday, but team doctor Herman Rossouw confirmed Pollard is likely to return for his first competitive game at the World Club 10s on 17-18 June.
'Handré Pollard and Dries Swanepoel are making very good progress. Both of them started training with the Rugby Challenge team this week. Their progress will be monitored to see if they'll be fit for the Mauritius 10s,' Rossouw said.
Pollard will also be available for selection in the Bulls' north section clash against the Golden Lions on 23 June.
