World Cup-winning Springbok JP Pietersen officially confirmed that he has ended his time with French Top 14 side Toulon on Sunday.
Pietersen, who joined Toulon from the Leicester Tigers in 2017, confirmed on social media that he was bringing his three-year stint in France to an end.
The 2007 World Cup winner, who turns 33 in July, will see his contract with the former champions run out in July.
Pietersen made 21 appearances for Toulon this season, starting 14 of their 26 games as they proceeded to finish in a disappointing ninth place this year.
It not yet clear whether the former Sharks wing intends to return to play for one of the South African franchises.
