Former Kings centre Hadleigh Parkes will make his Test debut for Wales against the Springboks at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday.
The New Zealander previously played for the Blues, Kings and Hurricanes before moving to the Scarlets in 2014. He replaces the injured Owen Williams at inside centre.
Parkes’ inclusion is one of five changes made to the starting lineup by coach Warren Gatland.
In the only other change to the backline, Aled Davies comes in for the injured Rhys Webb at scrumhalf.
There are three changes to the tight five. Lock Cory Hill starts ahead of Jake Ball, while front rowers Scott Andrews and Kristian Dacey replace Tomas Francis and Ken Owens.
