Former Wallaby James O’Connor and ex-All Black Ali Williams were arrested for allegedly buying cocaine and spent Saturday night in a Paris jail cell.

According to Sydney's Daily Telegraph, the two were arrested by policemen from the Anti-Crime Brigade after they’d allegedly been spotted giving €200 to two drug dealers outside a Paris nightclub at 3am.

One French media report said that Williams threw three packets of cocaine on the ground at the time of the pair’s arrest.

The two were said to be heavily intoxicated and placed in a holding cell.

It is unclear whether formal charges against them have been laid.
