Nollis Marais is set to earn R275,000 a month as the Bulls’ junior coach and coach of the Provincial Rugby Challenge team.
According to Rapport newspaper, it would have been too expensive for the Bulls to sack Marais and pay out the rest of his contract.
Marais was replaced by Bulls executive of rugby John Mitchell as Currie Cup coach early in the campaign and put on extended leave.
The Bulls recently sent Marais to overseas-based clubs like Munster and Saracens where he could improve his knowledge of the game.
