Rugby Australia CEO Raelene Castle called off a scheduled phone call with Jake White on Thursday.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, White had approached Castle to offer his services to the Wallabies, whose coach, Michael Cheika, is under fire after a poor 2018 season.
Castle is understood to have cancelled the meeting with the 2007 World Cup-winning Bok coach after it was leaked to the media.
The newspaper says White, who is currently head coach of the Toyota Verblitz, has also offered his services to Japan as Jamie Joseph’s replacement after next year’s World Cup.
