Faf de Klerk will not be available for Saturday’s clash against Scotland after returning to the Sale Sharks.
De Klerk, who returned to the starting lineup for the win against France after sitting out the loss against England as it fell outside the Test window, has been released from the Bok squad and will be available for Sale this weekend.
De Klerk is also unlikely to be available for the Boks’ final tour match against Wales in Cardiff.
Ivan van Zyl filled in for De Klerk against England, while Embrose Papier was an unused substitute against France after replacing Van Zyl late against the English.
The other scrumhalf in the Bok squad, Louis Schreuder, is yet to add to the single Test cap he earned as a substitute against Wales last year.
POLL: With Faf de Klerk unavailable, who should start at scrumhalf for the @Springboks at Murrayfield?
