Springbok prop Ox Nche has extended his contract with the Cheetahs until 2019, warding off interest from other unions.

The 22-year-old was said to be the subject of interest from the Bulls, but has decided to prolong his stay at his boyhood team.

Nche, who has played 64 games for the Cheetahs, made his Springbok debut against Wales in Washington DC in June.

The Bloemfontein fan favourite joined the Cheetahs academy in 2014 and has also played for the Free State U19 and U16 teams.
