Lwazi Mvovo and Sikhumbuzo Notshe have been released from the Springbok squad, while Francois Hougaard will not be considered for selection for the first two Tests against Argentina.

Mvovo and Notshe will remain part of the overall Bok squad, but will not feature in the Rugby Championship opener against Argentina on Saturday.

The duo were released back to their home provinces on Tuesday, while it was also confirmed that Hougaard will not be considered for the next two Tests after returning from the Rio Olympics with a knee niggle.

Meanwhile, prop Trevor Nyakane is making very good progress with his ankle recovery and should be in contention for the 26-man Bok touring squad to Argentina.
