Montpellier owner Mohad Altrad has suggested that Vodacom Bulls and Bok flyhalf Handré Pollard has ‘agreed in principle’ to join the French club after the World Cup.
If Pollard does sign for Montpellier, he will link up with fellow South Africans Bismarck and Jannie du Plessis, Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg, Paul Willemse, Wiaan Liebenberg, Ruan Pienaar, Jan Serfontein, Frans Steyn, Johan Goosen, Jacques du Plessis, and Henry Immelman, all of whom are on the club’s books.
Altrad also confirmed that Vern Cotter will be elevated to director of rugby, with former France international Xavier Garbajosa taking over as head coach.
