Percy Montgomery is auctioning off the Test jersey he wore in the 2007 World Cup semi-final to help with Covid-19 relief.
Starting at fullback, Montgomery contributed a match-high 17 points (via four conversions and three penalties) in the Springboks’ 37-13 semi-final win over Argentina in Paris 13 years ago.
Feeling the need to help and contribute towards relief efforts in aid of those who are most vulnerable during the unprecedented coronavirus pandemic, Montgomery teamed up with The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa (PCMF South Africa) to raise funds.
Montgomery is auctioning off the special jersey, but as an added incentive he has decided that the person with the winning bid will also win a two-night stay for two people at a luxurious penthouse in Camps Bay and a private tour of the Percy Montgomery rugby museum.
The bidding process will open on 1 June and can be done here.
