The Blue Bulls Company was able to report a R2-million profit in 2018 thanks to the £200,000 it received from the England RFU.
Former Bulls executive of rugby and head coach John Mitchell left the union in September to become England’s defence coach, with the Bulls receiving around R3.5-million in compensation.
The Blue Bulls Company reported a loss of nearly R30-million in 2017.
According to Netwerk24, this big financial turnaround can also be attributed to other factors, including the retrenchments of coaches and office personnel, good financial management, and profits made from the sold-out Springboks vs All Blacks Test.
