The Hurricanes and All Blacks have suffered a blow after star fullback Nehe Milner-Skudder was ruled out for six months with a shoulder injury.
Milner-Skudder will miss the rest of the Super Rugby season, and the All Blacks' June Tests against Wales.
The versatile back will undergo surgery after dislocating his shoulder in the Hurricanes' win over the Blues last weekend, and is set for an extended period on the sidelines.
'[I'm] gutted I won't be out there in the Canes jersey for the remainder of the season,' Milner-Skudder said. 'It would have been great to build on what was an awesome season last year, but that's not the case, so I'll just get stuck into my rehab. I get surgery next week and will get it all cleaned up and fixed up. [It will] be about a six-month rehab programme before I'm back out on the paddock.'
