Sharks hooker Fez Mbatha is among the players taking part in this week’s Springbok alignment camp for the upcoming British & Irish Lions series.
Mbatha, who was schooled at Maritzburg College in KwaZulu-Natal, was pictured alongside fellow College old boy and Springbok centre Jesse Kriel in an image posted by the school on social media.
The 21-year-old has been in excellent form recently, starting for the Sharks in the Currie Cup final against the Bulls and continuing as the team’s first choice in this position in the Rainbow Cup SA.
A well-known, rather athletic OC based in Japan sent us a message today:
“Great to have a fellow College boy in the Springbok setup! ?⚫️⚪️”
