Lionel Mapoe will start at inside centre for the Lions in their match against the Sunwolves in Singapore on Saturday.
Mapoe, who came off the bench in the comeback win against the Rebels, will start at No 12 alongside the impressive youngster Wandisile Simelane.
There are two further changes to the backline as wing Sylvian Mahuza replaces Ruan Combrinck and Nic Groom comes in at scrumhalf for Ross Cronjé.
The loss of both Kwagga Smith and Vincent Tshituka to injuries mean that locks Ruan Vermaak and Stephan Lewies are forced into the loose trio, with Rhyno Herbst taking Lewies’ place in the second row.
In a further change to the pack, Sti Sithole replaces loosehead prop Dylan Smith, who is out with a cheekbone injury.
On the bench, still to be confirmed, hooker Robbie Coetzee will make his comeback from a lengthy injury, and lock Wilhelm van der Sluys could make his Lions debut should the two make it on to the field.
