Makazole Mapimpi, who has picked up a calf strain, will not feature for the Sharks against the Bulls this Saturday as a precaution.
The Sharks announced on Friday that Mapimpi will not feature this weekend in order to ensure he doesn’t aggravate a calf injury.
Mapimpi was an automatic selection in the 46-man Springbok squad selected last weekend, with the wing having produced a standout performance on his recent return to the Sharks after a stint in Japan.
The withdrawal of the World Cup star results in a shift for Volmink, who was originally named on the right wing. He will now move into the No 11 jersey, while Werner Kok will start on the other wing.
The Sharks also released the substitutes list for the game against the Bulls, which includes Thomas du Toit and Ox Nche.
Due to injury a few late changes has been made to #OurSharks team that will take on the Vodacom Bulls at Jonsson Kings Park tomorrow afternoon?
