Nick Mallett and Brendan Venter are said to be in the running for the Springbok selection committee.

The former Bok coach and Bok centre are two of the more well-known names likely to be submitted for the role as Bok selectors. Both Mallett and Venter are synonymous with rugby, and Springbok rugby in particular, but their fate as selectors will be in the hands of the executive committee.

‘The names will be submitted to the high-performance committee, who will sift through the names and make a proposal to the executive committee. The executive committee will make that decision,’ SA Rugby head of corporate affairs Andy Colquhoun told Rapport.
