Lyon forward Deon Fourie will be sidelined for at least six weeks after sustaining a knee ligament injury.

The versatile Fourie, formerly of the Stormers, can play in the back row and at hooker, and has been a key player for Lyon in the French Top 14 and European Challenge Cup this season.

The 30-year-old Lyon captain suffered the injury in their Challenge Cup encounter against Ospreys at the weekend, and will leave a massive void in the starting lineup.
