Madosh Tambwe has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after sustaining an injury against the Free State Cheetahs last Saturday.
Tambwe started on the right wing for the Golden Lions’ in their 47-14 win over Free State, but had to leave the field on the stroke of half-time with an ankle injury.
The Lions confirmed on Tuesday that Tambwe had dislocated his ankle and will be sidelined until next year.
Meanwhile, tighthead prop Johannes Jonker has recovered from a left-arm stinger and will be available for selection against Western Province this coming weekend.
