The Lions will host Argentinian newcomers the Jaguars in one of four pre-season matches.

After completing a training camp at the end of next week, the Lions squad will take part in a warm-up match against the Leopards and Valke on 6 February before taking on the Vodacom Bulls on 13 February.

A final 'friendly' will then see them host the Jaguars on 19 February, with the Lions kicking off their Super Rugby campaign against the Sunwolves the weekend after.

Besides confirming their warm-up fixtures on Thursday, the Lions reported that the injury rehabilitation programmes of Ross Cronjé, Ruan Combrink, Martin Muller, Justin Ackerman, Harold Vorster and Derick Minnie all remained on schedule.
