Lions skipper Warren Whiteley sat out training on Monday and Tuesday due to a bruised knee, with a call on his availability to be made later in the week.
Whiteley has battled with recurring injuries this season, but returned to the Lions’ starting lineup in last Saturday’s win over the Waratahs.
However, he did seem to be carrying a bit of a limp, and it was confirmed by the Lions on Tuesday that he was rested from training at the beginning of this week.
The Lions are set to face the Highlanders on Saturday.
