Lock Marvin Orie will start as one of nine changes to the Lions team to take on the Jaguares in Buenos Aires on Saturday.
Courtnall Skosan, Harold Vorster, Ross Cronjé, Warren Whiteley, Andries Ferreira and Robbie Coetzee are the only survivors from the side that thumped the Waratahs 55-36 at Ellis Park last weekend.
Orie will make his debut for the Lions, while props Dylan Smith and Johannes Jonker, who will earn his first Super Rugby cap, are added to the front row.
Flanks Kwagga Smith and Cyle Brink are elevated to starting roles in place of Jaco Kriel and Ruan Ackermann.
In the backline, Shaun Reynolds will play flyhalf, Anthony Volmink comes in at left wing, Jacques Nel is the preferred outside centre and Jaco van der Walt will play fullback.
