Lionel Mapoe's knee injury has forced the Lions to change their midfield for the match against the Stormers at Newlands.
Alwyn Hollenbach will start at inside centre on Saturday after Mapoe failed a late fitness test, with Harold Vorster shifting to outside centre.
On the bench, Howard Mnisi comes in for Stokkies Hanekom, who also sustained a minor knee injury against the Waratahs last weekend.
