Lions lose Marx

Lions hooker Malcolm Marx is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after sustaining a neck injury in last Saturday's match against the Stormers.

The 21-year-old started in the Lions 29-22 victory at Ellis Park, but had to leave the field early on after suffering a soft tissue neck injury. The Lions confirmed that Marx will be out of action for 'a few weeks', with no estimated date set for his return.

Meanwhile, tighthead prop Julian Redelinghuys sprained his right wrist in the same encounter and will be unavailable for the Lions' match against the Kings in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
