French club Grenoble have bolstered their strength in the back row after announcing the signing of former Lions loose forward Marnus Schoeman.
Schoeman arrives on a two-year deal at the club that competes in the PRO D2, the French second division.
The 32-year-old, who previously turned out for South African sides the Bulls, Griquas, Pumas and Lions as well as the Junior Springboks, will link up with compatriot Deon Fourie at Grenoble.
‘Marnus is a very experienced player with nearly 150 matches in Super Rugby, the Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup to his credit. He is an active back rower and very efficient in the ruck zones with great quality of contest,’ Grenoble sports manager Fabien Gengenbacher said in a statement.
