The Leopards secured a 45-22 bonus-point win over the Valke in their second round Currie Cup qualifier in Kempton Park.
The teams were locked at 10-10 at the break after a try apiece, but the floodgates then opened with the Leopards running in five further tries and the hosts two. The win takes the Leopards to the top of the table with 10 log points.
In a thrilling encounter in George, SWD edged the Griffons 40-37. Trailing 27-7 at half-time, the hosts staged a brilliant fightback in the second stanza, outscoring the Griffons four tries to two. Karlo Aspelling's boot proved the difference as the flyhalf kicked five conversions.
In Wellington, tries from fullback Gouws Prinsloo, flank Hilton Lobberts and centre Howard Mnisi helped Griquas defeat Boland 21-3. Gouws also added two penalties. Griquas' second win in as many weeks moves them to second on the log with nine points.
