Wales coach Warren Gatland has made three changes to the starting lineup that will face the Boks in Sunday’s semi-final in Yokohama.
Ross Moriarty replaces the injured Josh Navidi at eighthman, while centre Jonathan Davies returns from injury, after missing the quarter-final win over France. Davies replaces Owen Watkin who drops to the bench.
Leigh Halfpenny, who alongside captain Alun Wyn Jones, Davies and wing George North, will start a second World Cup semi-final after featuring against Les Bleus 8 years ago. Halfpenny comes in at fullback for the injured Liam Williams, who sustained an ankle during injury, and has subsequently been ruled out of the Rugby World Cup.
