Veteran centre Frans Steyn has been ruled out of the Cheetahs’ clash against the Sharks in Durban on Friday due to a groin injury.

Steyn’s withdrawal will see Chris Smit slot in at inside centre, while Howard Mnisi is set for his official return to the Cheetahs lineup after being named on the bench.

Kick-off in Durban is at 7pm.
