Pat Lambie has resumed training and could still be in line to feature for the Sharks in the Currie Cup.
Lambie has battled a concussion for the past three months after being knocked out by CJ Stander in the Boks' first Test against Ireland in June.
Sharks team doctor Alan Kourie confirmed the 25-year-old Springbok has resumed modified field training on Monday. It is hoped that Lambie will return to action in the Currie Cup to gain much-needed match fitness before the Springboks' Rugby Championship Tests against the Wallabies and All Blacks in October.
Meanwhile, lock Stephan Lewies has recovered from a hamstring strain and is available for selection. Loose forward Dan du Preez started training with the team on Monday, but is not available for selection by coach Robert du Preez.
